About This Event

**Ladies Knight: **Sip. Strategize. Connect. Hosted at Taste Wine Bar & Market, you’ll have seamless access to Taste’s self-service wine-dispensing system featuring over 50 wines available by the quarter-pour (taste), half-glass, or full pour. Grab your wine card at the bar, explore pours at your own pace, pair them with gourmet deli boards, and take a seat at the board. We will blend open, social play with structured chess lessons and a chess tournament with a wine gift card rewarding the winner. Open to men as well.

Featured Wines:
The Queen’s Gambit — Perelada “Nomes” Grenache Blanc
Fresh, expressive, and ready to make the first move.
Fresh fruit aromas mingle with herbs and a delicate hint of anise. Each sip feels bright yet rounded, with flavors that linger as you consider your next move. Like the Queen’s Gambit, this wine invites you to open confidently, explore possibilities, and discover how much a little initiative can reveal.

The French Defense — Domaine Gueneau Sancerre Rosé
Delicate charm. Quiet strength. A finish worth waiting for.
Imagine strawberries and rose petals lifted by a citrus breeze. Gueneau’s Chavignolet rosé brings a soft texture, lively acidity, and a chalky mineral edge, finishing with lingering red fruit and floral notes. Paired with the French Defense, it celebrates patience and poise: settle into your position, savor the layers, and choose your moment to strike.

The "Checkmate" Flight (The Quarter-Glass Carousel)

  • Style: Sampling across varietals using Taste’s self-service wine card.
  • The Move: A 1 oz tasting pour between casual rounds—rotate from a dry Rosé during opening drills to an earthy Pinot Noir for the optional mini-tournament.
