Teaching experience:
I have coached players at every level—from national champions to absolute beginners:
Olympiad Coach: Guided WIM Lejla Smajlović (second board of the Bosnian Olympic Team) in her preparation for the 2000 Olympiad.
National Champion Coach: Currently coaching Bosnia's U12 National Champion, Mejrem Džafić (1467 FIDE) https://ratings.fide.com/profile/14436442 , Luuk Wierenga (1983 FIDE) https://ratings.fide.com/profile/1094874 , who qualified for the Dutch U16 Championship and Rohan Walia Magadi U10 Irish prodigy currently rated 1525 FIDE ELO https://ratings.fide.com/profile/2536455 and many other unrated students ) https://lichess.org/@/southwell , https://lichess.org/@/Raba , https://lichess.org/@/doomslothx , https://lichess.org/@/MadDearMagma , https://lichess.org/@/lwierenga
International School Programs: Developed and delivered chess curricula in schools across Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, and Kenya.
I welcome students from complete beginners up to ~2200 FIDE.
I believe great coaching is about more than just chess—it's about understanding people.
Global Perspective: Having lived and worked across Europe, Central Asia, and Africa, I have taught students from dozens of nationalities and cultures. This has made me incredibly patient and adaptable.
Languages: I teach fluently in English, Serbo-Croatian, Czech, and Russian—so students can always learn in the language they're most comfortable with.
Father & Mentor: As a father of three boys, I know how to connect with young learners, keep them engaged, and build their confidence.
Resilience & Strategy: My own chess journey taught me that losses are just lessons. I pass this mindset on to every student.
