Chess Nut handles public registration, browser pairings, payments, US Chess ratings data, and family entries. It also offers roll call, a public club page, club communications, and USCF/TRFx reports across free and paid plans.
Summary
Chess Nut Pro includes dues, club email, and 0% platform commission for $84/year on annual billing. Chess67 offers core tournament tools without a base subscription, with a standard 2% fee on sales through Chess67 checkout, a storefront, and coach discovery. Processing fees are separate for both.
Consider Chess67 if
You prefer a 2% platform fee plus processing to an annual subscription for payment collection.
Your club sells camps, classes, lessons, or merchandise and wants a shared storefront.
You need member attendance, payment, and engagement views, with the appropriate club plan.
Your coaches want students to find them through the coach marketplace.
Consider Chess Nut if
You prefer an annual Pro subscription with no platform commission on entries.
Your club already relies on Chess Nut's roll call, dues tracking, and reports.
You use quads, club ratings, or branded score sheets.
Try Chess67 for one event. Check registration, pairings, and reporting before moving other events from Chess Nut.
*Core club and tournament tools have no subscription fee. Chess67's standard fee is 2% on sales through Chess67 checkout, plus payment processing. Optional club plans let you send more messages, view more member records, and add more custom pages. See the pricing page. Eligible nonprofits can apply for discounted processing rates; see Stripe's eligibility requirements.
The free Pawn plan includes an unlimited member list, 500 emails and 50 text messages per month, attendance and payment reports for 50 families (including linked child profiles), and one custom club page. Paid plans raise these limits and add more pages. Bishop and higher plans include tournament Offline Mode (beta). Messages follow recipient preferences; delivery depends on the channels you set up and the recipient’s phone or device settings.

Key differences
01
How the fees compare
Chess67 charges a standard 2% on sales through Chess67 checkout, with no base subscription for core tournament tools. Chess Nut Pro's $84 annual subscription equals 2% of $4,200 in sales. This compares platform fees only; processor rates, optional plans, and usage charges can change the total.
02
After the tournament
Chess Nut Pro includes club announcements, member email with delivery and open statistics, dues tracking, and club ratings. Chess67 includes storefront sales, coach discovery, and member attendance, payment, and engagement views. Chess67's communication and member insight limits depend on plan.
03
Quads and rating reports
Chess Nut's paid plans include quad/octad tools, branded score sheets, club ratings, and USCF/TRFx exports. Chess67 supports quads and round robin and exports USCF DBF or FIDE TRF16 files for review and external submission.

FIDE report support means file preparation. Chess67 is not approved, certified, or endorsed by FIDE. Confirm reporting requirements with your arbiter or federation.
Offline Mode is in beta and included with the Bishop plan ($15/mo billed yearly) and above. Prepare the tournament on one device while online. You can then pair rounds and enter results without a connection. Check-in, registration, payments, rating lookups, and public updates still need internet. Review and sync saved changes when you reconnect.
